Hazbin Hotel's Creator Is Aware of Fans' Second Season Bingo Cards — And She Has Good News

The highly-awaited Season 2 of the adult animated musical series Hazbin Hotel arrives on the streaming platform soon, and audience theories has been intense.

Season 1 presents a diverse group of characters living within Hell and Heaven, sets them at odds accompanied by musical numbers about their clashes, and establishes heated competitions and angsty, affectionate connections that fuel fan obsession.

The fandom's stated hopes for the new season vary widely, but certain themes recur frequently: Could Angel Dust escape his tormentor? Will we find out more about the binding agreement constraining the enigmatic Alastor? Might certain characters' relationships evolve?

"Obviously, I don't produce the show with audience demands specifically in mind," the showrunner commented earlier this year. "But I believe that me being a devotee of the series means there's a lot of it just inherently. I also am eager for these things, and I want some of these things to happen, and clearly some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

The creator reveals her long-term vision is for a five-season run of Hazbin Hotel. Future installments have already been green-lit by the production companies, which produce the series.

That might mean fans have to wait years for some of the major resolutions — but they could be shocked at how quickly the new season moves, and how much of what they're waiting for happens now.

"I feel like people are going to get a lot out of it," the creator notes. "We get some firsts. I think we receive some really amazing disclosures, some fascinating backstories, and even just simple things, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] We're going to hear much more singing from the characters we didn't get to hear before."

The creator is well-informed of the theories and desires about season 2 — especially in the form of fan bingo cards.

"I've come across a couple people make a bingo card about the new season," she says. "Naturally I can't post it, but I've already completed a few items, and almost all of them have almost a bingo. I thought, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that makes me think we accomplish much [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I was like, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that makes me happy."

Hazbin Hotel the second season premieres on the streaming service on Oct. 29.
